First published as the ANAT Bulletin in July 1988, Filter has been informing and inspiring a global network of artists, designers, curators, researchers, writers, educators and creative and research organisations for over two decades. Each issue thematically investigates an area of emerging practice or art form of the future; exploring the new creativities which are occurring across community, culture and industry.

Now in its 13th year, Filter is produced as a digital publication to allow for more interaction and communication. Our vision is for the site to be an active and sharing online community where the dialogue initiated by the articles will live on….

Submissions and inquiries should be sent to Gavin Artz.  Filter magazine was published in printed form until 2009. If you would like to order copies of past issues, please contact [email protected].
